
Nigeria’s women’s basketball team, D’Tigress, has released a provisional squad for the FIBAWomen’s WorldCupQualifiers, as preparations intensify for the road to Germany 2026.
The list, made public on Wednesday, features a blend of experienced internationals and emerging talents expected to battle for final selection ahead of the qualifiers.

Also included in the provisional list are Murjanatu Musa, Pallas Kunayi-Akpanah, Grace Efosa, Amy Okonkwo, Ayomide Tewogbade, Rita Igbokwe, Okoro Ifunaya, Wandoo Hembam, Adenike Olawuyi, Sarah Ogoke and Blessing Ejiofor.
The squad announcement signals the start of intensive preparations as D’Tigress aim to secure qualification and extend Nigeria’s strong presence on the global basketball stage. Final selections are expected to be made after camping and evaluation by the technical crew.
Nigeria, Africa’s dominant force in women’s basketball, will be looking to build on past successes as they chase another appearance at the FIBA Women’s World Cup.
