The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has declared that he would secure overwhelming support from Nigerians if he decides to contest the presidency.
Wike made the statement on Monday during a media chat with selected journalists, where he expressed confidence in his popularity across the country. According to him, Nigerians still appreciate his style of leadership and would back him at the polls if he joins a future presidential race.
“Nigerians still love me, and if I run for the presidential election, they will vote for me massively,” he said.
The former Rivers State governor added that his record in office, both as governor and now as FCT Minister, positions him strongly. He maintained that his achievements in infrastructure development and governance would speak for him, stressing that he has the ability to connect easily with ordinary Nigerians.
