
The Nigerian Red Cross Society, Kaduna State branch, has distributed relief items to 300 conflict-displaced persons in Kachia and Kajuru local government areas of the state.
The society’s state branch Chairman, Abdullahi Jibril, who supervised the exercise on behalf of the executives on Monday in Kaduna, reaffirmed commitment to alleviating the suffering of vulnerable communities.
He commended host communities for sheltering the displaced and called on all parties to foster peaceful coexistence and mutual support.

ADVERTISE WITH USItems distributed to the displaced persons include water storage containers, blankets, mats, mosquito nets, hygiene kits, kitchen sets and water purification tablets, aimed at restoring a measure of dignity and normalcy to families uprooted by banditry and armed conflict.
One of the beneficiaries, Husseina Ibrahim, appreciated the gesture, saying she never imagined an organisation still existed that cared about the plight of displaced persons.
The distribution was also supervised by representatives of the Nigerian Red Cross National Society from the National headquarters.
The Nigerian Red Cross Society has continued to stand with vulnerable, delivering humanitarian assistance where it is needed most.
